<p> Diplomatico N°3 Pot Still (70CL, 47.0% Vol.) </p><p> The third expression from Diplomatico’s Distillery Collection range, highlights the classic John Dore copper stills – originally used in Scotland to produce whiskey – these stills are responsible for the robust and delicious flavor in the various blends. </p><p><p>Rum Diplomatico n.3 Pot Still </p><p> The third and final expression of the Distillery Collection Series, launched in 2017 to highlight Diplomatico’s distillation systems. </p><p> This rum was distilled in a Copper Pot Still which was brought to Diplomatico’s La Miel distillery in 1959 from Scotland. </p></p><p> Aided by the use of sugar cane honeys and a prolonged fermentation process, this vessel still produces a very complex spirit. Aging takes place in small American white oak barrels where the rum develops additional aromas of cocoa and caramel. </p><p><p> This rum is the heart of Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva’s unique flavor profile. The perfect gift for rum enthusiasts to be enjoyed slowly together with a good dark chocolate. </p></p><p> On the nose it is rich, dark caramel with lighter notes of banana and cloves. Toffees develop </p><p> with marked edges that balance the rich and sweet medium palate. The candied lemon peel develops in the glass over time. </p><p><p> On the palate notes of juicy blackcurrant with a touch of menthol. Nose burnt caramel creeps around the edges with spices like cloves and toasted banana in the center. Twigs and green leaves linger in the back. </p></p><p> Very persistent finish played on herbaceous tones which slowly give way to sweet spicy notes. </p><p><p> Alcohol content 47% </p></p><p> 70 cl format </p>
