<p>Lively and zingy with aromas of fresh lime, gooseberry, and a faint lactic undertone. The palate is direct and citrusy, with lots of salty minerals throughout and finishes clean with bright acidity. Fermentated and aged in stoneware jars.</p><p>Domaine Batard Langelier has been a family-run estate since 1910, located in the commune of Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, in the heart of the Muscadet appellation. Jérémie’s father was already convinced at the time that behind the market’s shift towards technical and standardized wines lay the homogenization of tastes and the demise of terroir-driven wines. Aware of the increasing fragility of biodiversity, he turned to sustainable viticulture and abandoned chemical fertilizers in 1995.
