<p>Domaine Billard Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Beaune is a delicious example of Burgundian Pinot Noir. Delicate, yes, but with succulent, bright aromas of ripe red berries with earthy tones on the palate. There are hints of dried fruit flavours and a gentle savoury note from the barrel ageing which gives this wine real depth of character and elegance. The fresh acidity is rounded out by a dusting of firm tannins which give that all-important structure and a long, lingering finish.The Billard family home is situated 15km south of Beaune in a small village called La Rochepot. Jérôme Billard is the fifth generation to head the establishment and has managed the vineyards since ’99 with a continuous passion to create the best Burgundian wines. Their aim is to create wines which are an expression of their individual terroirs.
