Their terrain is moist and marshy. Its name comes from the Old French Pol (pond or swamp).</p><p>Massal selection of Pinot Noir grafted onto 161-49 rootstocks. Vines of reasonable age, on average 45 years.</p><p>The soil and the subsoilLimestone scree and silt with little clay on a gravel and sand subsoil. This well-drained and warm soil allows the grapes to ripen very quickly and this plot is always one of the first to be harvested in the Domaine. </p>
