<p>Plenty to like here, with vibrant aromas of raspberry and bramble. The palate opens with more fruity notes, leading into some spice and forest floor. Tannins are light but the mouthful is still nice and structured, definitely moreish. </p><p>The vines for this one are planted with a westward view, at 300-450mt of altitude. Grapes are carefully picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts, before spending up to 10 months in old oak barrels. The wine is then bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal amounts of sulphur. </p><p>Domaine de Thalie is a small estate in Clunisois founded in 2009 by Peter Gierszewski. Facing west, the estate cultivates Gamay, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Peter is one of the rare winegrowers in this micro-appellation of Mâcon-Bray. From the start, he was keen to cultivate his vines organically. His peasant common sense, his love of the plant and his convictions naturally pushed him to adopt this method of cultivation.
