<p> DOMINI CASTELLARE DI CASTELLINA – I Sodi di San Niccolò 2017 </p><p> It is the standard bearer of Castellare, the pride of the Chianti company for having demonstrated the greatness of Sangioveto in blend with black Malvasia: the 1985 vintage ranked 6th in the first Top 100 drawn up by Wine Spectator in 1988. </p><p><p> Tasting notes: </p></p><p> Intense ruby red in color and with a great olfactory concentration, thanks to the presence of ripe red fruit which leads to notes of jam, but also spices, vanilla and liquorice. In the mouth the wine is characterized by a dense and elegant texture, also supported by the important acidity of the Sangiovese, the tannins are absolutely sweet and the finish is long and very persistent. </p><p><p> Pairings: </p></p><p> Excellent with cured meats and savory meats, with succulent dishes and mature cheeses.
