Okay, maybe it’s not that classic. When seeing the <em>Giuseppe Brancatell</em>i vineyard in Riotorto, Italy, the <em>three Dutch amigos</em> thought they should be distilling their own Rum. They went back home and bought a still. Using <em>contemporary distilling techniques</em> and adding<em> traditional Dutch ingredients</em> to the traditionally South American drink, the result was a distinct Rum with way less sugar than in other premium Rums.</p><p><em>Dutch Head The Bastard Edition</em> blends together 5YO Dominican Rum, 3YO Guatemalan Rum, 2-3YO Panamian Rum, and 8YO Venezuelan Rum. Partnering with renowned sugar specialist <em>Royal Cosun,</em> this smooth and creamy Rum has only 9.4 grams of sugar per bottle. The typical Dutch ingredient in this one? Licorice a.k.a. “brown sugar”. This beautiful concoction already won two stars at the <em>Superior Taste Award 2021</em> of the International Taste Institute Brussels and <em>Silver </em>at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2021 with<em> 92 points.</em></p>
