<p>A sweet Gin Liqueur with sweet rhubarb and ginger root leading the way.</p><p><em>Ian Macleod Distillers</em> is the biggest Scotch company that you’ve probably never heard of. Founded in <em>1933</em>, they produce more than fifteen million bottles of Spirits every year, making them the <em>10th largest producer in Scotland.</em> They source and produce across two dozen or so brands and also do private-label production for other producers, restaurant chains, and even stores across Europe. And the entire operation is still <em>family-owned</em> and operated from the south side of <em>Edinburgh</em>.</p><p><em>Edinburgh Gin’s Rhubarb & Ginger Liqueur</em> will surprise you. Well, it surprised us and we’ve been around the Gin & Liqueur world once or twice… OK, a LOT more than once or twice.</p><p>What is it? Glad you asked. It starts as<em> real Edinburgh Gin.</em> Then it’s infused with fresh rhubarb, extra ginger root, and sugar and served at a very Liqueur-like<em> 20%</em> ABV. It’s almost a bottled cocktail and it tastes great sipping it just that way. But it is also a great float for <em>Prosecco, Ginger Beer,</em> or — our personal favorite — in a classic <em>Mojito</em>.</p>
