<p>Wonderful value and taste in a delightful Tequila aged in new oak for a pure experience.</p><p><em>Destiladora San Nicolas</em> is located in Los Altos — the Highlands of Jalisco Mexico. The deep red, volcanic soil and high altitude has long been considered the best climate for producing great Blue agave. They were founded in <em>1996</em>, growing quickly by producing their own San Nicolas brand of Tequilas. In 2008 they were purchased by the <em>Campari Group</em>. Now, nearly all production goes into Cabo Wabo and their own El Espolòn line of Tequilas.</p><p>It is VERY common for Tequila makers to <em>age their Spirits in used casks</em>. It is so common that most fans just assume that the aging occurred in ex-Bourbon casks — by far the most popular choice. <em>El Espolòn Tequila Reposado</em> is 100% Weber Blue agave Spirit rested in lightly charred <em>NEW American oak casks</em> for 3-5 months. All you taste is the pure agave Spirit. It’s great and a <em>great value</em>. And that’s just us saying so. They have a slew of awards to back it all up.</p>
