Fantini Vigneti del Vulture Pipoli Zero Sulphites Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2022

Denomination: Aglianico del Vulture docVARIETY: Aglianico del Vulture 100%COLOR: RoséRegion: Basilicata (Italy)Alcoholic strength: 13.5% Vol.

Pipoli Zero from the Vigneti del Vulture – Farnese winery is an intense and well-structured red wine, with a balanced and dry flavor and characterized by a soft and smooth tannin. It is an Aglianico delle Vulture, a type of wine very renowned in the South, so much so that it is defined as the Barolo of the South due to its very similar characteristics to Piedmontese Barolo. The Aglianico vine was brought to Italy by the Greeks, who called it Hellenic. The name was changed by the Aragonese. This type of grape is grown in Basilicata, in the province of Potenza and over time it has been able to earn the Controlled Denomination of Origin (Doc) and then the Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin (Docg). The grapes that give rise to this wine are also grown in Basilicata, in particular in the municipality of Acerenza. After the harvest, the best bunches are taken to the cellar and first subjected to pressing and destemming. The must thus obtained is left to ferment for 40 days in contact with the skins and natural yeasts, without the addition of sulfur dioxide. The result is a red wine with an intense and complex aroma and a balanced and dry flavour, where the tannin is well present but in an elegant way. A wine obtained without the use of chemical agents.

Color: bright redBouquet: intense and complex where red berries and light hints of vanilla stand out.Taste: on the palate, slightly tannic entry, consistent and smooth tannin, clean and dry finish.Pairings: good with robust first courses, roasts, red meats, game and robust sauces.
