A mile away from the mass produced, overly sweet and flabby norm – it’s very, very drinkable. Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s most well-known indigenous red grape variety. The grapes are grown on hillside slopes in the Trapani area, using the traditional Spalliera vine training system.Food Match: Good, when paired with red meat, tomato-based pasta sauces or pizza.
