<p>The most premium Rum for your buck. </p><p>Way back in 1875, an industrious head of <em>the Pellas family</em> moved from Italy to <em>Nicaragua</em> to establish a distillery. In 1890, first bottles of <em>Flor de Caña Rum</em> hit the Nicaraguan market and in the folowing decades, the rest of the continent. Situated on the sides of<em> San Cristóbal volcano, </em>the distillery has been producing one of the best Rums and by 1990s, they had <em>the largest reserve</em> of aged Rums in the World.</p><p>Flor de Caña Rums carry <em>volcano in their blood. </em>The fertile volcanic soil brings rich minerals and due to the climate, Angels take a fair share of the Rum aging in white oak barrels that used to hold Bourbon. The result are the lovely amber color and rich flavors.</p><p>This particular Rum is aged for seven years in 180 litre white oak barrels that once held Jack Daniels, and is a wonderful mixing rum, born to find itself in cocktails. No tricks, no gimmicks, <em>just pure and awesome straight up Rum. </em>Plus, this bad boy won <em>seven gold, eighteen silver and eight bronze medals</em> since 2000.</p><p><em>It’s basically the Michael Phelps of Rums.</em></p>
