<p>Traditional craftsmanship meets modern wizardry. </p><p>Funky Pump Gin is a product of <em>the Austrian alpine valley</em> of Lechtal. It’s in this picturesque setting that the Gin is handcrafted – using no modern technology or large scale machinery – just centuries-old techniques which produce a quality spirit. On paper, it sounds like a very traditional Gin, but in actual fact, Funky Pump has <em>a modern twist, </em>quite literally. The bright blue packaging alone has stand-out, but couple that with <em>the bold screw cap</em> which resembles a cog in a machine, and you’ve got something that’ll be really noticeable in your home bar.</p><p>The Gin itself is made with local and global botanicals to a secret recipe. The botanicals are macerated in grain spirit (but not all for the same length of time) before distillation takes place. This Gin has taken more than a year of <em>testing, experimenting and trailing </em>to get just right. On the nose, it’s distinctly <em>juniper-heavy</em> with a citrus twist, much like a classic Gin. On the palate, there’s a slight sweetness as well fruity flavors, resulting in a herbal, bitter-sweet finish. A well-balanced, smooth Gin which works as well on its own as in cocktails.</p>
