<p>:This is a highly individual wine and a copybook Gewürztraminer: full, bright straw yellow, concentrated with a strong aromatic character reminiscent of dried flowers and rose petals which develops and intensifies in the glass. Full-bodied, luscious but dry on the palate, the opulence cut by vibrant, firm acidity.Grape variety:Gewürztraminer – South Tyrol DOCProduction area:Vineyards around Termeno. Soil: Marly, light, well ventilated and warm up quickly in spring.Vinification:The grapes are lightly crushed and the juice is cold macerated for a few hours together with the skins. The mass is then pressed, the must is clarified by natural sedimentation and fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. All these procedures combine to exalt the typical varietal character of the wine.Food pairing:On its own as an aperitif, with shellfish, asian inspired food and gorgonzola cheese.Serving temperature:8 – 10°C.Ageing potential:more than 5 years.Bottle to:750 ml – 75 cl – 0,75 lt.Allergens:wine can contain sulphites.Producer:J.Hofstätter WineryIn 1907, Josef Hofstätter founded a winery in Termeno which has developed today into the largest family estate winery in all of Alto Adige. Areas of cultivation of 50 hectares in the west and the east of the Bassa Atesina, in the south of Trentino and, as the first winegrower from Italy, even to the Saarland in Germany are tended under the direction of Martin Foradori and the J. Hofstätter brand.Soils, climate, elevation: all of these should be reflected by the wines of J. Hofstätter. They focus on local grapes: Pinot Blanc, Lagrein, Schiava, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir.Tenuta Josef HofstätterPiazza Municipio 7IT – 39040 Termeno (BZ)infoGewürztraminer Joseph 2021 – 14,5% vol.
