<p>Grape variety:100% Traminer (Gewürztraminer).Production area:south-southwest-facing hillside vineyards in Entiklar and Kurtatsch (260 – 400m a.s.l.). Soil: chalk gravel moraine soil in Entiklar; loamy soil between Kurtatsch and Tramin. Yield: 40 – 50 hl per hectare.Vinification:after 6 – 8 hours of maceration of the grapes, fermentation at a constant temperature of 20°C in stainless steel tanks; maturation on fine lees for 6 months.:bright yellow to gold in hue, with a broad spectrum of aromas of rose petals, honey and litchi. A fabulous wine, with spicy, powerful taste, full bodied and lingering on the palate. Is just as rewarding to drink today as it will be after many years in the cellar.Matching:this wine pairs exceptionally well with starters, grilled fish, shellfish, Asian dishes and mould cheese.Serving temperature:10 – 12°C.Ageing potential:5 – 8 years.Bottle to:0,75 liters.Allergens:wine can contain sulphites.Producer:Tiefenbrunner WineryThe Tiefenbrunner family is fully committed to the wine-growing tradition since 1848. Today Christof and his wife Sabine stand behind the name Castel Turmhof winery. Their aim is to blend the traditions of many years with new and innovative developments. Thus, the preservation of the character of the grape varieties, and of the high quality of the grapes themselves, remain the basic principle of the work in the vineyards and the cellars. Altogether 25 hectares of vines are owned and cultivated by the Tiefenbrunner family. They also purchase grapes from surrounding vineyards with a total cultivated area of 40 hectares.
