<p><em>Back to life, back to reality. </em></p><p>The <em>Glenglassaugh</em> distillery was founded by <em>Col. James Moir</em> in 1875, at the east end of the beautiful Sandend Bay, in the <em>Speyside</em> region of Scotland. In 1892 Glenglassaugh was purchased by Highland Distillers and continued production until 1986, when it was mothballed. In 2008 it was bought by the <em>BenRiach</em> distillery with the intention of bringing this brand back to life, and rightfully so. </p><p><em>Glenglassaugh Evolution</em> is a limited edition, which joins the Revival bottling. Aged in <em>ex-Tennessee Whiskey</em> casks that were used to age George Dickel, it was bottled at cask strength. Evolution is part of Glenglassaugh’s series of single malts that <em>celebrate the variety of casks</em> in which Scotch is aged. It’s young, vibrant, full of energy, and punchy, yet it is showing significant talent.</p>
