<p>A premium banana Rum from Barbados is something you should definitely try.</p><p>Ever heard of the <em>Crop Over festival</em>? It’s a big thing in <em>Barbados</em>: it dates back to <em>1687</em> and celebrates the <em>end of the sugar cane harves</em>t. The whole island comes together to express the gratitude for the fruits of the harvest. There’s music, dancing, calypso, colorful celebrations, you name it. And there’s the festival’s grand finale: <em>the Grand Kadooment</em>, which translates to “a big occasion, filled with joy and vigour”. This is the part where the best workers are crowned King and Queen of the crop. The Grand Kadoo range celebrates <em>the island’s colorful culture</em>. Produced at a family-owned distillery, the 4th generation of Rum makers crafts and ages their unique premium Rums in the Bajan heat, far away from the hustle and bustle.</p><p><em>Grand Kadoo Carnival Banana Rum</em> is made from a blend of <em>column and pot still Rums</em> from Barbados. About a third of the Rums were aged in <em>ex-American Whiskey oak casks </em>with the other Spirits being light, unaged Rums that were<em> infused with banana flavors. </em>A tropical concoction par excellence, this one comes at you with flavors of deep fried banana fritters, drizzled with honey.
