Named after the Arabic word for light, Nour is a wine born from resilience and hope. Crafted during a time of profound turmoil in Lebanon, it stands as a tribute to perseverance and the bright moments that emerge from darkness. A blend of the indigenous Obeideh and Grenache Blanc, grown on limestone soils at 1,200 metres in the Beka’a Valley, this wine reflects both its place and its people. Naturally fermented in stainless steel and neutral barrels, then aged in traditional Lebanese amphorae, it is bottled without intervention – nothing added, nothing taken away. The result is a textured, expressive white with notes of apricot, ripe pear, and a touch of exotic spice, layered with Mediterranean herbs like fennel, dill, and rosemary. A waxy, generous mouthfeel leads to a long, soulful finish. A white wine with real depth, warmth, and story.

Heya Wines is a project of close friends Claudine Lteif and Michelle Chami (also wife to Mersel Wine’s Eddie Chami), who hope to bring more equality to the winemaking industry by working with an all-women team in the vineyard, and handling everything “from a to z” themselves (and yes, that includes labelling bottles!) during vinification. They craft their wines following a natural, minimal intervention approach, using only native indigenous yeasts, and cultivating their plants organically, to give back to their land and achieve authentic results. So much so that even the labels on their wines are picture they took at harvest.

Origin: Beka’a Valley, LebanonVintage: 2024Grape varieties: Obeideh (50%), White Grenache (50%)Food pairings: Roasted meats, pasta, goat cheese and grilled fishBottle size: 75clABV: 12.5%

ORGANIC / NATURAL
