A pefect south facing slop, our vines are protected from the warming winds on the steep limestone cliff over Würzburg city. The reflections of the sun’s rays on the water of the Main river and the yellow-grey soils of the weathered fossil limestone create an almost mediterranean climate. In parts, loam-clay layers in the soils give optimal nutrition. This unique terroir leaves a mineraly, smoky aroma with high fruit potential and structured density.
