<p>Another brilliant Scottish Gin shinning with florals and spice. </p><p>There’s a very popular show in the US called <em>“Shark Tank.”</em> But it started as a show in England called <em>“Dragon’s Den”</em> that is still running today. Well, a few years ago the upstart House of Elrick Gin appeared on that show and they were offered more than US $110,000 for a 10% share of the company… and founder <em>Stuart Ingram</em> ultimately turned it down. They have proceeded with self-funding and crowd-sourcing to get where they are today — an Aberdeen-based Spirits company with a <em>selection of fine</em>, <em>hand-crafted Gins</em> and an entrepreneurial Spirit. </p><p><em>House of Elrick Gin</em> is decidedly floral in character. They keep their sources as a <em>trade secret</em>, but we know that they get their water from Loch Ness. And we also now of a Distillery or two in the area (e.g., Diageo’s Glen Ord) and known to contract out some work here and there. And the <em>floral character</em> reminds us of malted barley-based Spirits too. But both of those are guesses.</p><p>We also know that their botanicals include juniper (of course) along with heather, rose petals, sweet fennel, angelica, coriander, and some citrus. This <em>wonderfully tasty Gin</em> is bottled at an odd but appreciated <em>42% </em>ABV in a lovely black glass decanter. And we have to say that it is another stellar example of <em>flavorful and aromatic Gins</em> coming out of Scotland these days.</p>
