<p>This “superstar Whisky” brings you the best of malt from the Islands and Speyside.</p><p><em>Ian Macleod Distillers</em> is an independent and <em>family-owned bottler</em> on the Isle of Sky and a huge name in the Whisky industry. The island is located off the West Coast of Scotland and it’s mostly famous for its beautiful nature and excellent Whisky – it’s also the home of <em>The Clan Macleod</em>, the founder’s clan. Ian Macleod Distillers can show off a seriously impressive portfolio with brands like Glengoyne, Tamdhu, Edinburgh Gin to name a few. But the brand of blended Whisky Isle of Skye will always come first on that list as it was the first brand the company acquired in 1963.</p><p>To create <em>Isle of Skye 8 Year Old</em>, The Ian Macleod folks source malt Whisky from the Islands and Speyside. The dram was aged for at least 8 years in used <em>American oak casks </em>and it’s gotten raving reviews all over. <em>Jim Murray</em> even called it a “superstar Whisky” in the<em> 2019 Whisky Bible</em>. Was it the stunning harmony of peat smoke and sea salt? The enticing nose of sweet maple and vanilla? Could be, we just know this is some darn good Whisky. </p>
