<p>A smooth and lightly-dry Gin in the London style but steeped in the flavor of India.</p><p>Jindea was launched in 2017 by three friend who have been in the beverage and hospitality business for most of their lives —<em> Matthew Dakers, Adrian Gomes, and Jack Rackham.</em> Matthew and Adrian also have strong ties to India. And Jack works at the family business —<em> Emporia Brands</em> — a Spirits importer and innovator. It seems natural that they would eventually create something together that represented their passions and experience.</p><p>The idea for <em>Jindea Single Estate Tea Gin</em> was inspired when the three founders were served a very special Darjeeling tea by <em>Ajit Madan,</em> co-founder of Camellia’s Tea House in London and the UK’s first certified ITEI Master Tea Sommelier. The name of the tea was <em>“Exotic Thunder”</em> and is first flush (spring harvest) Darjeeling from the Goomtee Estate in the Kresong Valley. This special location and variety is often called “The Champaign of Tea” and forms the<em> signature botanical infusion. </em>The rest of the botanicals include juniper, lemon, grapefruit, coriander, ginger, fennel, cardamom, cinnamon, and angelica infused into a French Neutral Spirit base.</p><p><u>Smartass Corner:</u><em>Although it’s left unsaid and unconfirmed, the name of the company appears to be a triple play on words — combining “Gin/Jin,” “India,” and “dea.”</em></p>
