Whole bunch pressing, natural fermentation until dry, ageing 12 months in various 300/400/500L oakbarrels.Producer Tasting Note:A dry Chenin with a deep, complex nose of bruised yellow fruits, white peach, creamy and plush, showing honeyed pineapples, leesy yellow fruits. Plenty of gravitas, fruit weight, focus and textural complexity. The palate is medium bodied and fresh with a richly fruited core leading to a crisp, dry finish.From an unirrigated vineyard with weathered granite topsoil and crumbly clay sub-soil, it is called ‘Kliprug’ by the farm workers because of the numerous rocks on the ground.Critic’s Tasting Note:”The 2021 Kliprug Chenin Blanc is generous and refined, bursting with a lively, broad and waxy nose.
