<p>Twenty-two botanicals and it feels like every one of them is important. </p><p>The Kimerud Distillery is <em>a small-shop craft</em> operation located on the family farm <em>just outside of Oslo</em>, Norway. They started operations in 2014 and Gin was their first product — distilled from potatoes and infused with botanicals harvested from the their farm. The operation remains small, but they have expanded their products to include a second “Wild Grade Gin,” an Aquavit, and Raspberry Elixir which is akin to a Sloe Gin in texture and flavor.</p><p>Their core product — <em>Kimerud Small Batch Distilled Gin</em> — is making waves throughout the Gin-loving world. In addition to their other accolades, just this year they took home the <em>Gold Medal </em>at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017. It is crafted with care… and 22 hand-picked botanicals, including juniper, coriander, ginger root, mint, angelica, citrus zest and — surprisingly — walnuts.
