<p> Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old French Oak Cask (70CL, 46% ABV) </p><p> The Knappogue Castle Cask Finish Series is a range of single malts finished in the finest wine casks. The limited-release Chateau Pichon Bar is matured in bourbon barrels for a minimum of 12 years, then further aged in barrels from the renowned Bordeaux winery. Produced exclusively from barley malt, distilled in copper stills, this expression is filtered without refrigeration and bottled at 92 degrees.</p><p><p> Nose – The first thing that strikes you is the sweet candy. It’s sweet and nutty all at once. Light clove spice.</p></p><p> Palate – A fair and complex malt. This is a high end Bushmills, undoubtedly an excellent spirit and excellent selected casks. Almost chewable. Fruity and sweet. Red grapes, red apples, strawberries with a touch of manuka honey.</p><p><p> Finish – Medium to long with a slightly lingering spice finishing with a slightly dry malt and oak note. A little bit of a delay at the end also just to keep things interesting!</p></p>
