The vineyards at the foot of Ritten/Renon, at the north-eastern part of Bozen/Bolzano, and the mild climate form best conditions for the classic red wine St. Magdalener. Here the experienced wine grower Martin Spornberger combines “typicity and quality with tradition”. Thus, the wines from Kandlerhof are aromatic and fruity and their ample bouquet can unfold thanks to the combination of different vineyard sites. Martin Spornberger produces classic St. Magdalener, Lagrein Dunkel and Sauvignon Blanc on a vineyard area of 2 hectares. The refining of the wine in large wooden barrels expresses terroir and grape variety in an elegant and velvety way.
