Situated in Ora, in the heart of the South Tyrolean area best suited for Lagrein and Pinot Noir, the estate is managed by the seventh generation of the family, headed by Clemens Waldthaler. Seventy per cent of the 7 hectares of the estate are used to produce red wines (Lagrein, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet and Schiava), and only the remaining 30 per cent are dedicated to white wines (Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Blanc), proving that the best yielding vines in these parts are the black ones.Since 1983, the highest quality wines from the Ora sites have been bottled under the registered trademark RAUT.
