When Ignaz Mumelter bought the farm in the mid 19th century, the winery was owned by the family and is now run by Andreas Berger in the sixth generation. On the Virglberg, Schiava, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon and Goldmuskateller thrive on the warm porphyry soils, which impress with their elegance and minerality.
