<p>:Ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet has a clear varietal character, composed of lively notes of cherry, raspberry, violet and black pepper. Equally typical on the palate, somewhat rustic and with a hint of bitter almonds.Grape variety:Schiava/Vernatsch – South Tyrol DOCProduction area:The classic Kalterer red wine region is located on the sometimes rising altitudes between 215 and 315 m above sea level. On these deep limestone gravel soils, which the glacier has transported here, the local varieties for Lake Caldaro develop their highest potential, as does the international grape variety Cabernet Franc. The Mediterranean climate at the lake with lots of sun and the afternoon wind is particularly important for these varieties.Some of the schiava vines are over 100 years old.Vinification:Partly fermented in steel barrels, partly in French and local oak barrels with a few stems. After fermentation, the wine is stored in tonneaux for approx. 8 months. Sea is produced according to the guidelines of the Kalterersee-Charta. A strong passion that leads him to carefully follow each grape in its maturation process, in full respect of nature and its rhythms, without ever neglecting the main objective: quality. In fact, to give life to extraordinary wines, the grapes have always been picked only after reaching the ideal degree of ripeness.Andi Sölva’s estate is a small structure in which many activities are carried out directly by the owner himself, from the care of the vines to careful manual selection.
