<p>Innovation continues with a classic Gin made from apple Spirits and aged in Calvados casks.</p><p>For three generations the <em>Drouin Family</em> has been producing some of the <em>finest Calvados</em> in the Pays d’Auge region of northern France. <em>Guillaume Drouin</em> worked making Wines and Rums before taking the helm at the family business — <em>Calvados Christian Drouin</em>. They have a <em>wide selection</em> of both aged and un-aged Calvados and specialty Spirits</p><p><em>Le Gin de Christian Drouin Calvados Cask Finish </em>starts with a base Spirit distilled from thirty different kinds of apples. This Spirit is transformed into Gin through the infusion of <em>eight aromatic botanicals</em> — including rose, lemon, ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, almond, cardamom, and juniper of course. Then this exceptional Gin is rested in ex-Calvados casks for six months in strictly <em>limited quantities </em>— brining out the apple notes which linger deliciously with the botanicals.</p><p><u>Smartass corner:</u><em>Calvados is an Eau de Vie made from apples in France. It gets its name from the Calvados region of Normandy that’s famous for producing this Spirit.</em></p>
