<p>A clean, modern expression of Mâcon Chardonnay with a nod to tradition. Aromas of white flowers and citrus on the nose, and fleshy white fruit on the palate. The mouthfeel is creamy and balanced by refreshing acidity on the finish.</p><p>The hand-harvested grapes undergo a gentle pressing and fermented naturally with wild yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures for six months in stainless steel before being lightly filtered and fined with bentonite.</p><p>Patrick and Nicolas Laugère, fourth and fifth-generation winemakers, have run the family estate since 1987. Their uncle Marcel also left them the care of the estate’s cadole, a traditional stone shelter. This unique structure, built over an underground river, provides a vital water source for the -30 years old- vines during droughts.
