<p>The big Mezcal three: bright, earthy, and smoky.</p><p><em>Madre Mezcal </em>is a handmade, artisanal Mezcal that’s produced by <em>various small batch mezcaleros</em> in Oaxaca, Mexico. This is a truly personal and unique Mezcal as the mezcaleros work together day in, day out, in open air palanques in the rural hills of Oaxaca to create the Spirit following <em>traditional Zapotec recipes and methods. </em>The Madre recipe was designed by mixing an ensemble of agave to give a softer, lighter smoke and a sweet botanical hue.</p><p><em>Madre Mezcal Espadin</em> is everything we’re looking for in a Mezcal. The Espadin agaves come from various terroirs, making it intriguingly <em>complex </em>and <em>balanced.</em> It’s made with local water and only natural yeast in open air palanques. And it’s got the big three: it’s<em> bright, earthy, and just the right amount of smoky</em>.
