<p>ORGANIC / BIODYNAMIC / VEGAN / NATURAL / LOW SULPHITE</p><p>A wonderful wine, fuller in character than other offerings from Mas Coutelou. It is a beautiful dark ruby red, with heady fresh red and black fruit aromas, along with hints of leather, earth and tobacco. On the palate it is complex and powerful, with a tannic structure and sharp acidity that is well-balanced by the depth of fruit. Flavours include sweet raspberries and redcurrants, blackberries, sour red cherries and exotic spice, which linger on the palate with the long and persistent finish. A great value wine that packs a punch!</p><p>Mas Coutelou is run by Jeff Coutelou who has been making biodynamic wines since 1987. He was the first in the area to convert to organic practices and is still at the forefront of the French natural wine scene. The Matabu this year consists of whole-bunch fermented Carignan and Grenache as well as Syrah that was pressed before fermentation. It was originally created as a blend of Jeff’s leftover grapes, and offers a great value for money wine designed for early and enjoyable consumption.
