Tsar Alexander II</em> of Russia loved him some good Cognac and he really didn’t want to run out of it at any moment, so he sent two brothers<em> August-Cristophe</em> and <em>Gustav Meukow</em> from Silesia to France to get that royal supply chain set up. Eventually, after the two brothers had been going back and forth between France and Russia for a while, which probably wasn’t so effortless back then, they decided to settle down in the town of Cognac and open up <em>A.C. MEUKOW & Co. </em>on August 1, 1862. The legendary Cognac House is still going strong today as it became part of the family-owned and independent Compagnie de Guyenne, founded by<em> Michel Coste </em>in 1979 and that’s when their range really took off. Today, you can get Meukow Cognac in more than 80 countries and the House is led by Michel’s children.</p><p><em>Meukow VSOP Limited Edition Copper Cognac</em> is a famed Cognac that’s been <em>awarded many times</em> in the most prestigious Spirits competitions around the world. This is a special limited-edition release that comes in a <em>sexy copper bottle.</em> The Cognac is incredibly round due to carefully selecting the Eaux-de-vie in this blend.
