<p>A limited-edition Cognac with an extravagant character.</p><p>The roots of the <em>Meukow House </em>go back to <em>1850</em>. <em>Tsar Alexander II of Russia</em> loved him some good Cognac and he really didn’t want to run out of it at any moment, so he sent two brothers<em> August-Cristophe and Gustav Meukow</em> from Silesia to France to get that royal supply chain set up. Eventually, after the two brothers had been going back and forth between France and Russia for a while, which probably wasn’t so effortless back then, they decided to settle down in the town of Cognac and open up A.C. <em>MEUKOW & Co. </em>on August 1, <em>1862</em>. The legendary Cognac House is still going strong today as it became part of the family-owned and independent Compagnie de Guyenne, founded by <em>Michel Coste in 1979</em> and that’s when their range really took off. Today, you can get Meukow Cognac in more than 80 countries and the House is led by Michel’s children.</p><p>This expression is just as flamboyant and intense as its extravagant red bottle. <em>Meukow VSOP Red Limited Edition Cognac</em> is crafted from Eaux-de-vie from several growing regions around Cognac. Aged for at least 4 years in <em>French Limousin oak casks</em>, Cellar Master <em>Anne Sarteaux </em>oversees all production and makes sure this Cognac is <em>exceptionally pure. </em>The oak leaves behind sweet vanilla notes that support the fresh fruit aromas.</p>
