<p>The floral Single Malt that started it all… in Tel Aviv. </p><p><em>Milk & Honey Distillery</em> is the creation of serial tech entrepreneur <em>Gal Kalkshtein</em> and his team — Amit Dror, Simon Fried, and Roee and Naama Licht. Together they opened<em> the first distillery in Israel</em>. They drew up the plans in 2012 and started production in <em>2014</em>. Their first products hit the shelves in 2016 and in May of 2017 they announced the first Single Malt produced in Israel — The M&H Classic. Today, their range includes New Make, two Gins, Roots Herbal Liqueur, and a handful of Single Malt versions.</p><p><em>Milk & Honey Classic Single Malt Whisky</em> is the first and <em>multi-award-winning</em> flagship Single Malt from M&H. This non-age-statement dram is aged “under the Tel Aviv sun” in a combination of <em>ex-Bourbon casks</em> and <em>STR Red Wine casks</em>. It’s light and crisp with no chill-filtration or artificial colorings and bottled at a perfect <em>46%</em> ABV. You will discover a gentle Spirit with a floral and caramel character that <em>blooms on the palate</em>.</p><p><u>Smartass Corner #1:</u><em>“Milk and Honey” comes from Exodus, Chapter 3 verse 8. The Promised Land (Israel) is referred to as, “a land flowing with milk and honey.”</em></p><p><u>Smartass Corner #2:</u><em>Dr.Jim Swan was a legend in the Whisky business. He had a long career as a noted Whisky consultant, helping launch distilleries around thew world. He is credited with developing the STR technique for barrel re-use (Shaving, Toasting, & Re-Charring) used today.</em></p>
