<p>The original ancient Chinese potion.</p><p>The ancient Chinese city of <em>Luzhou</em> has a <em>millennia-long</em> tradition of winemaking and the <em>Luzhou Laojiao Distillery</em> comes from that rich history, equipped with<em> old-school </em>gear and knowledge. From their stills comes a wonderful Spirit called<em> Baijiu</em>. It may be less known to Westerners, but it’s actually the largest Spirit category in the world. It’s a white Spirit mostly made from <em>sorghum</em>, a fun grain native to Asia, Africa and Australia. Sorghum is fermented in so-called Baijiu pits and the Laojiao Distillery still uses pits that have been operational since <em>1573!</em> The traditional<em> wisdom</em> has it that the longer sorghum spends in those pits, the more<em> complex </em>Baijiu becomes.</p><p><em>Ming River Baijiu</em> is a <em>balanced </em>and <em>complex</em> Spirit, known to be the original Sichuan Baijiu. It’s distilled in traditional Chinese pot stills and matured for up to two years before the Master Blender creates the<em> perfect potion</em>. Pour yourself a glass of this <em>ancient beverag</em>e and enjoy it neat at room temperature, although its sweet and bold profile will make any cocktail richer.</p>
