<p>A special-edition release of a distinct Gin.</p><p><em>The Thames Distillery </em>was founded in <em>1996 </em>by<em> Charles Maxwell</em> who was an 8th-generation Gin distiller. Today, the distillery produces around <em>60 Gin</em>s for different brands – everything from international brands to small-scale operations for bars. Distilled at the Thames Distillery and bottled in Spain, Mombasa Gin is one of those <em>premium brands.</em></p><p>A s<em>pecial limited-edition release, Mombasa Colonel’s Reserve</em> carries the name of a 19th century private social club in <em>Kenya </em>that imported English Gin for its members. It’s based on a <em>carefully selected blend of botanicals</em>, including caraway, cumin, and coriander. It’s spicy at first but fresh vanilla, thyme, and hints of licorice soon make an appearance.
