<p>About Medievo Established in 2001, Bodegas del Medievo is an exciting, innovative winery in Aldeanueva de Ebro, La Rioja in Rioja Baja, where the climate is warmer and more Mediterranean. They own 220 hectares of vineyards of Tempranillo 65%, Garnacha 20%, Mazuelo 10% and Graciano 5% across the highest areas of Aldeanueva on the fringes of Mount Yerga, 600 metres above sea level. The soil in this area is essentially clay-calcareous, so poor in organic matter. This, combined with both a low average annual rainfall (400 mm) and high altitude of its vineyards, gives optimal conditions for the cultivation of healthy grapes providing great intensity of colour, thus producing wines of an unquestionable air of modernity.Grape variety, 100% Tempranillo aged for 6 months in American Oak.A fine, fruit packed Rioja made from carefully selected Tempranillo grapes.
