<p>Le Pergole Torte is Montevertine’s top cuvée. The wine is only made in the best vintages from vines planted in 1969-1999. This is just about the best Sangiovese you will ever taste. It’s a hugely complex wine with great intensity and balance and plenty of red fruits, wooden characters, spice and leather. The acidity is high and tannins are fine and well incorporated.
