It has all the appeal of the classic wines from Valpolicella, with fresh cherry and ripe bramble fruit, along with added weight and complexity from maturation in oak. There are lovely aromas of bright berry and black cherry, and a touch of spice. Supple tannins lead to a finish of delicate sweetness, offset by fresh acidity.
