Deep and intense flavour, with well balanced minerality and spiciness. Orange wine.Aromatic wine. This is the varietal Nekaj. Because of its Slovenian roots, the name was chosen in Slovenian “Nekaj”, which means “something”. It starts with an aroma that immediately captivates the mind and body. On the palate, it offers a honeyed elegance that is balanced by the characteristic bitter notes and fades with the minerality of the terroir.Grape variety:Friulano – Venezia Giulia IGT.Production area:On Monte Calvario (GO), perfectly south-facing, on marly-stony soil. No chemical or synthetic substances are used in the vineyard to preserve the natural harmony and expressiveness.Vinification:2 – 3 months maceration on the skins in dull oak barrels. Only the farm’s own yeasts are used. Unfiltered wine. Maturation for 36 months in barrels of 20 and 30 hectolitres, then 12 months in bottle.Food pairing:Risotto with seafood, pasta with fish and tomato sauce, eggs and savoury pies, smoked fish.Serving temperature:12 – 14°C.Ageing potential:more than 10 years.Bottle size:750 ml – 75 cl – 0,75 lt.Allergens:wine can contain sulphites.Producer:Damijan Podversic WineryIn the path of the winemaker it’s important to understand the nature.
