<p>A juicy, vibrant red with aromas of cherries and strawberries, and a dry palate with plenty of red fruit flavours, soft tannins, a good natural acidity and medium length. Easy drinking, and works well when slightly chilled too! </p><p>Anna Martens and Eric Narioo, the husband and wife team behind Vino di Anna, are breathing life into Etna’s ancient vines. In 2022, in order to spend more time with Anna’s family in Australia, the couple started a small organic wine project in the Adelaide Hills, called “Nord-Sud”. Renting space in a friend’s winery in Basket Range, they have invested in clay vessels, used puncheons and small stainless-steel tanks. They source only organic grapes from a range of sites in and across the Adelaide Hills. Fermentation is spontaneous, conducted by indigenous yeasts, no chemicals or additives are used.
