Especially when the story ends with a great bottle of Tequila. The two friends set out to create a high-quality, cocktail-friendly Tequila. And since Tequila in the UK is fairly expensive, they wanted to create<em> </em>a great value too. True to their mission, their Tequilas — Plata (silver), Reposada, and Añejo — are <em>all 100% Weber Blue Agave. </em>Half of their agave piñas are ground in stone tahonas, the other 50% in stainless steel roller mills.</p><p>Olmeca Altos Reposado is properly <em>aged for ten months</em> in ex-Bourbon casks. And this fine little Mexican dram has a ton of <em>bang-for-the-buck value.</em> In a blind tasting, Olmeca Altos Tequila Reposado placed <em>second out of six contenders</em> — all of which were double the price or more. In my book, that’s a ringing endorsement. If you are looking for a Tequila that can be mixed into a great craft cocktail and can stand on its own as a daily dram, you may have found the perfect new addition to your liquor cabinet.</p>
