<p>Outstanding – Best Spainsh Viura/Macabeo – 96 points, Decanter“O” Blanco is a oxidative aged white wine from Rioja, a rare and unique style of wine from the region. Using some botrytised grape in the mix and fermented in barrel, only 90% of the barrels were filled to allow oxidative ageing. The wine remained in the barrels for a total of nearly 4 years before bottling. Layered with dried orange peel, quince, apricot jam, salted almond and roasted hazelnuts, all wrapped with the oily texture and supported by the nectarine-like acidity.What the critics are saying…“Oily yet refined.
