<p>Pella Granietbult feels like a bold statement of Stellenbosch terroir — Cabernet vines planted on a granite-strewn “hill” that lend the wine both power and mineral drive. The cold soak and extended maceration have coaxed out intense dark fruit — think blackberry, blackcurrant and ripe cherry — layered with cedar wood, tobacco, and a whisper of forest floor. The oak ageing adds spice and gentle vanilla-cigar-box notes without overwhelming the fruit. On the palate it’s dense and structured but polished: plush tannins support the concentrated fruit and lead to a long, savoury finish where dark fruit, cedar and graphite linger.
