Petit Chablis Domaine Seguinot-Bordet, Chablis, Burgundy, France, 2024 Grape: 100% Chardonnay, unoakedProducer Tasting Note:Very pretty pale golden yellow in colour with light greenish glints. Bright, luminous and limpid. The nose is young, fresh and vivacious in a whirlwind of floral, fruity scents. The taste is lively, pleasant and perfumed, revealing lemon and verbena on a fine mineral background.Critic’s Tasting Note:”On the nose, initial cool hints of limestone and chalky crushed rock, with notes of yellow peach, mandarin and linden blossom. Juicy and fresh on the palate, notes of ripe yellow fruit, a mineral base, good acidity and a long, salty finish. Great on its own, but also a versatile food wine.”91/100 points, FALSTAFF (Austria), September 2025Domaine Séguinot-Bordet is the oldest producer in Chablis with records dating back to 1590. They have 20 ha under vines with 2.5 ha in Petit Chablis, 16 ha in Chablis and 1.5 ha of Premier Cru. Jean-François Bordet, the youngest of the family, places particular emphasis on obtaining the best fruit possible, through careful pruning, debudding and harvesting. Cool fermentation, allows the wines to mature for 2-5 months on their lees; this maximises the grape skin contact and promotes a luscious style to the wines.Food Match: Fresh or baked oysters; small grey shrimps and prawns; sauteed and flambeed langoustines; John Dory cooked in chervil butter; Devilled freshwater crayfish; Grilled trout with lemon butter; Fresh foie-gras; Chicken steamed in white wine; Grilled andouillette with mustard; hamburgers & pizza.Petit Chablis Domaine Seguinot-Bordet, Chablis, Burgundy, France, 2024
