<p>Peychaud’s Bitter (14.8CL, 35% Vol.)This story begins a long time ago: it was back in 1795 when the white settlers had to flee from Santo Domingo and find asylum in Louisiana, more precisely in New Orleans. Among these there was also Amédée Peychaud who in New Orleans resumed his profession as a pharmacist (typical of his family) and created a healing elixir based on various medicinal herbs, including gentian. Initially used to treat various diseases, such as malaria, it didn’t take long to realize that this elixir paired well with Brandy and Absinthe and, indeed, gave life to a great drink… the Sazerac! </p>
