<p>An unforgettably smooth Scotch blend.</p><p><em>Spencerfield Spirits</em> was set up in a small town in Scotland by <em>Alex Nicol</em>, a former marketing director at <em>Glenmorangie</em>. Spencerfield is a family run business dedicated to producing quality niche alternatives to more known conventional mainstream brands. Their flagship product is the Sheep Dip and Pig’s Nose is its stable mate – both <em>curiously named</em> due to the fact that the blender is located on a farm.</p><p>There’s a couple of things you should know about <em>Pig’s Nose Blend.</em> First of all, let’s talk about the name: when a piece of fabric for example was really, really smooth back in the day, farmers would describe it to be as <em>soft as a pig’s nose</em>. Now, Pig’s Nose Blend is a blend of Speyside, Islay and Lowland malts with superior gentle grain Whiskies and it really is that smooth. It was crafted by 3rd-generation Master Blender <em>Richard Patterson</em> who selected <em>1st fill American oak casks</em> to age the base – Invergordon grain Whisky. Then, Patterson added 5 premium Single Malts to the mix: 3 from Speyside, 1 from the Highlands, and 1 from Islay. The result is a harmonious balance of flavors on the elegantly light, luscious and creamy palate. </p>
