<p>:This single-site wine pours an intense ruby color. On the nose, there are ripe fruit aromas of cherry and plum jam, spicy notes with hints of walnut and finely integrated woody notes. On the palate, the wine has an elegant structure with soft and warm tannins. It is delicate, minerally and yet has a good persistent finish. The charmer – a delightful combination of smoothness, elegance and density.Grape variety:Pinot Noir – South Tyrol DOC. Production area:Selected French Burgundy clones are cultivated at an altitude of 500 – 600 m a.s.l. in the monastery vineyards in Eppan Berg, on an east-facing slope opening south with excellent limestone gravel soils.Vinification:Following temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel barrels at 27°C for 12 days and malolactic fermentation in barriques, the wine is aged in barriques for 12 months.Food pairing:Best enjoyed with peppered steak, grilled meat and mature cheese.Serving temperature:14 – 16°C.Ageing potential:more than 10 years.Bottle to:750 ml – 75 cl – 0.75 liters.Allergens:Wine can contain sulphites.Producer:Wine Estate Monastery Cellar Muri-GriesIn 1845 the Benedictines moved from Muri in Switzerland to Gries in South Tyrol, where the order took over the Augustinian monastery.
